The Develin Tower is the farthest tower to the East, the tower faces the Thames River. The Develin Tower is part of the Outer Ward project (outer wall), which was started during the reign of King Henry III and completed by his son Edward I during 1282. Parts of the Develin Tower was rebuilt during the seventeenth century to 'restore' the Tower to a pseudo-medieval form so it could be opened to the public, but as of today the Develin Tower is closed to the public. To the upper right hand side of the photo you can see a part of the Salt Tower, which was also built during the reign of Henry III. With this post the tour is officially over …. ☹ Thank you everyone for your comments and thoughts … and thanks for joining me on my tour…Hopefully I will be going back to London with more time on my hands so I can “Fully” enjoy all of what there is to see at the Tower of London …..
