Not too many people can say they love going to work but I can honestly say I do. I work in a facility where 80% of our residents have Alzheimers in various stages. Such a terrible disease that robs the recipient as well as the family. The ladies pictured here are "introduced" to each other every day and become best friends walking the facility holding hands as I've seen children often do. It doesn't matter they can't remember each others name or each other once they're separated for any length of time. They live in the moment as children do and make the best of their situation. It touches my heart to witness scenes such as this on a daily basis. I provide all of the residents with the utmost care because I never know when it may happen to someone in my family or perhaps even to me one day. I know many people will just pass this photo by but I hope those of you that have taken the time to view will be touched by this.
