This was taken yesterday. These Monarchs gather along shores of Lake Erie, mainly at a Canadian National Park called Point Pelee which is the shortest distance for them to travel across the lake to Ohio. They are on their migration route which takes them to central Mexico. One of their main sourses of sustenace is the Milkweed plant which is in abundance in Mexico. I find it amazing that such a fragile little creature travels that far.
