This picture of this Hawk and the next upload, if you bear with me, has a story behind it. Christmas day I went out to Nature Preserve. As I approached the Preserve along the road I pulled over to shoulder of road and inched my way forward to observe the bush beyound the creek that is next to road. I seen this Hawk perched in a small tree no more than 15 feet up. I stopped my vehicle and grabbed my camera and went out on ice of creek and took some pictures of him from a fair distance...I gradually got closer and more pictures till I was almost right on top of him...proceeded to take pictures from all angles...then I backed off and went back to vehicle and proceeded to parking lot. I will continue this story in next upload...
