I tend to focus on attempts at capturing things in the setting sun because of the fantastic light that time of day provides. However, one can get just as great light at sunrise. When I snapped this one, the sun had just crested a high, lonesome, and inspiring ridge on the Brtitish Columbia mainland. That's the spine of Vancouver Island off in the distance.
