Had to make a quick run down to the Bay Area week (9 hour drive one way), and stopped at the Grass Lake Rest Area to, well, take a break. The grass goes on for over a half-mile to the right of this shot. I've been here multiple times and have never seen any water, just tons of grass out there. But it you check out the online map, there actually does appear to be water out there. Unless you change from "Map View" to "Satellite View" and you can see what I mean. Somewhere. Along US Highway 97 in very northern California, USA.
