I was out for my long 3 hour morning walk down to the waterfront on the St. Mary's River and look what I came across. I was so excited when I spotted him and took lots of shots. This Common Loon swimming up the river so gracefully. They are such a beautiful bird and love to listen to them in the evenings, very haunty sounds and so relaxing at the same time. Its call has been alternately called "haunting," "beautiful," "thrilling," "mystical" and "enchanting. This is just a little sample of the many different sounds they make.

I loved the textures in the water & the reflection & rich colours of the river. He's also the Provincial bird of Ontario
