The title of this one is twofold for me: First, I was balancing precariously on a mostly submerged fallen tree, squatting down to shoot this... so while I was LOVING the scene, I was being extra-aware of every movement, trying to plan for what I might do if I lost my balance. It felt serene, but fairly tense, as well. Second, I almost feel like there is too much going on in this photo. I feel like it's peaceful, yet so busy. I have another composition that's similar to this one, but taken from another position on this log. I'll share it eventually... while I like this one a lot, the other would make a better large print.
