A Shot taken in Night on macro mode (flash used) at my terrace. Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. You may also find them in India, especially Northern India, during months of January - March. There are at least 36 species of dahlia. Dahlia hybrids are commonly grown as garden plants. The dahlia is named after Swedish 18th-century botanist Anders Dahl. Dahlias grow naturally in climates which do not experience frost, consequently they are not adapted to withstand sub-zero temperatures. They grow in temperate climates.
