the pointed peak on the right is no doubt the most photographed object on the island of kauai. it is usually photographed from a closer location. from where i was standing when i took this to where the mtn on the other side is hanalei bay. it goes way in to the left where beautiful beaches are. in the winter it has huge surfing waves which i've never seen. it is truly spectacular. the mountain with the ridges has something to do with the song..... puff the magic dragon lived by the sea and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called hanalei.................
