A 38-meter-tall (124 foot) statue of Kannon Bodhisattva, the Goddess of Mercy, was moved from Iizuka City in Fukuoka Prefecture to the Southeast Botanical Gardens in Okinawa City. The statue was huge and beautiful. Enjoy! UNFORTUNATELY a typhoon in early 2020 destroyed it.
