Moving to a slightly different location. If you have ever heard of Rama (hero of one of the two Indian epics, Ramayana, also considered one of the incarnations of the Vishnu, the protector), a tidbit - apparently he spent time on this hill where this temple is located, while trying to build an army to attack the demon Ravana who abducted his wife :).
