Palouse Falls is part of a remnant of glacial Lake Missoula. Located in what is called the scablands of Eastern Washington. It is a remnant of floods that occurred 13,000 to 15,000 years ago. It is estimated that the floods occurred 40 times over a 2,000 year period, caused by ice dam breakage.
