This photo was taken on top of Mt. Tai, the most sacred mountain in China. Each day, hundreds of people make a pilgrimage to this mountain to climb to its summit and then pray to the gods. Many visitors choose to leave a lock on top of the mountain, each one symbolizing a wish for the gods to grant. Apparently, the gods must be very busy and the people very faithful.
