Continuing our walk on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY, we stop at the Bevier-Elting House. Built in the early 1700s by the Bevier family, it was sold to the Eltings who lived in it for many generations. Built in the Dutch tradition of gable end facing the street, the one room home was expanded several times. Displaying the flag of the Dutch West India Company, a tour of this house would allow you to discover the Dutch-Flemish architectural features of the era. Windows were updated in the late 1700s; these were not the style of the original construction. This is a three-exposure HDR image.
