a gator hole...! :) It's not the most artistically interesting shot and I apologize...but I wanted to share this find with anybody who may be interested in alligators. Their claws...they are used to dig deep into the banks of their waterways...and they form caves...many underwater, and this is one I found by accident..in a very remote wooded area. Usually you don't see their caves as they are deeper and shrouded by reeds and plant-life. The soil where they nest is VERY rich in nutrients, normally from "their dinners" and you will often see plants we call "gator flags".
