On a photo hike yesterday, I went way out in scrubby woods....in an area with tangled terrain, no paths to follow.....and nobody ever goes out there. I was hoping for finding a rattle snake or a coral snake...any kind of snake shot....but aside from a gator or two, a turtle and birds...I was not seeing much wildlife. Being far-sighted...I walked all the way up to a tree...that at first I thought was diseased...and I thought covered in a fungus. I got within 4 feet and could see what looked like heat waves...and duh: yes....it was bees. The honeycombs were approx 4 1/2 FEET in length, and approx 3 feet wide. Nothing like fresh honey with your tea....{ so I drove to the store and bought some....:)
