The waters are clear and calm on Great Bay at Philipsburg in Dutch St Maarten. The beach is over a mile long and wide. There is plenty of fine white sand, and the water is excellent for swimming, plus a favorite place for beach strollers with plenty of cafe's and shops to stop by while taking in the view.
