This image may seem as only part and parcel of a larger scene, and truly is! The barn was so large, I just simply couldn't contain it all in one photo as quality work! So, I will be happy to send it along as a short series! This barn has many very interesting stories to tell, and they all kept me spellbound, as they were shared with me by the owner, and so pridefully, it touched my heart! The original barn was built in 1913 and still exists beneath the metal surface which of course was added for restoration and as a protective shield! The old oak standing near is two hundred yrs old and stands tall and prideful! It is extremely healthy, so is expected to live much longer, which I find simply amazing! How miniscule I felt standing beneath the tree! The grounds were kept in immaculate condition and was one of the most appealing of real estate I have seen! The people were so proud and happy to share because sentiment was a big part of the story told here, as it had been passed through 3 generations! As I listened to the story, tears came to my eyes, because I further learned that no amount of money could replace the sentimental value expressed here, or their happiness found here! I gave them my heartfelt thanks for sharing their wonderful stories with me and left! I plan to share more images with you and the pleasure I experienced on this marvelous afternoon!
