These pictures are nothing spactacular, but felt I had to share due to an overwhelming awakening I had today. I took a drive around the river today just to see how this flooding was affecting some areas. I started out with excitement and awe at all that was going on in the beginning of my trip. We first went throught Paducah Ky. The river was a few feet from reaching the flood wall as these workers scurried to put up the tedious looking leafs that fit in these flood walls. This is the frame of the inserts used to protect everything on the inside of the flood wall. It was wild to see about 15 different crews, one crew on each section of the wall trying to construct these inserts to protect everything and everyone from the rising river. *See next post, "Communities Unite" for rest of story*
