I took this in November 2006 right before departing on an evening trip north on the Blue Ridge Scenic RR. This particular locomotive is an EMD GP38-2 (EMD until recently was a division of General Motors.) The Georgia Northeastern Railroad provides the locomotives for the Blue Ridge Scenic train. If you happen to visit north Georgia, I highly recommend looking into taking the trip. The view is beautiful, especially in the fall.
