As you probably know, blue is my favorite color. This was an interesting Photoshop experiment. The gold work was done with the pen tool. The original is across the top. Then I took that and did a filter-distort-polar coordinates to bend the filigree work into the central shape. The fractal behind is a manipulated chaoscope fractal. The jewels were painted using photoshop (but I had to look at photos of the real things to do it) - just hard old grunt work, so the jewels aren't much out of my own head other than the coloring.
