This, a rare yellow marked double form of the common Snowdrop, is named after the wife of the finder of this plant, Sir Graham Elphinstone. He discovered it amongst a drift of Snowdrops at Heawood Hall, Cheshire, England in 1890. It is not an easy plant to grow and some years the markings revert to green. But I think you'll agree it's worth persevering with!
