I was so happy to see this red squirrel. There are not a lot of them left around here and they have the general appearance of a chipmunk...but they are a breed apart. This sweetie was looking furtively around for some corn or suet that used to occupy this space and when first spotted she was actually sleeping there..Of course I scared her into flight as I approached, but I had to show off her great colors...Ain't nature grand?
