This photograph was taken in Washington looking south from the area known as the Goodnow Hills Bench. The canyon in the distance drops approx. 2000 feet to the Columbia River and on the other side of the canyon is Oregon. The Goodnow Hills Bench has several wild orchards dating to the early 1800s and are some of the oldest orchards in the Pacific Northwest.
