Recently visited the college where I did my graduation and it turned out to be a holiday that day so I decided walk around. The college administration had decided to collect rare artefacts and preserve/protect them on the campus grounds and I must admit they have done a fine job.

The idol on the front left is Nandi and the idol on the front right is Ganapathi. In Hindu mythology there is a great place for both gods. Nandi is the vehicle of Lord Shiva and Ganapathi is one of the best-known and most widely worshipped deities in Hindu religion. Both idols had been worshipped previously in some temple and the since the temple was in ruins the idols have been shifted to here to protect them. The two stone plaques on the behind are called "veera kallu" (literally, "hero stone", a rock edict extolling the virtues of a warrior)
