I have driven Highway 1 from Mexico to the State of Washington. The views are almost always spectacular. Just make sure that you do not enjoy the views too much while you are driving. Many people have made that mistake and have driven off the side and gone boom and had fatal boo boos. The road winds endlessly through the cut slopes and dives hundreds of feet in altitude.
