I was in Rome during the Christmas break, and as a result I have quite a few new photos. Castel Sant Angelo, on the left, was originally built as a mausoleum for emperor Hadrian (2nd century AD) before becoming a fortress and is now a museum. It took its name from a legend about an angel appearing on top of the building and announcing the end of the plague. On the right, the Ponte Sant Angelo decorated with ten statues of angels, while the white building in the back is the tribunal.
