Taken at the local arboretum. I blocked most of the harsh direct sunlight with my body, but missed a spot to the right. The flower was illuminated by a ring flash, which allows subtle color & surface textures to show through. Some flowers, like this white rose, seem to acquire a mystical glow. I like the effect.
