The last time I was in this section of Fredericksburg, VA, this was just a normal alley between two buildings that ended in the back door of a shop on the other side of the block. However, this alley has been totally renovated and is now the long entrance to a Gardener's Supply store. As you can see, the alley is open to the sky on the other side of the arch. Just behind me are floor-to-ceiling wrought-iron gates that are presumably locked overnight. I thought the entire place was really attractive, and I absolutely loved the grapevine Christmas tree in the front.
