I was privileged to be in this spot in those very still, hold-your-breath minutes just before sunrise. I don't have words to describe my sense of well-being, the feeling of being witness to something very important. I hope you can see what I mean through this picture. The view is of the Potomac River, standing on the Virginia shore and looking across to Maryland. Thanks for taking a look.
