Actually he was just out by the feeders and the lilac bush!

This has been really cropped ( and that might have affected some of the quality) too get rid of some ground covering that I did not want in the image. We have been putting old corn cobs out for the critters too eat, and for some reason I could not remove it properly in Photoshop. I have found it very hard to get shots of the junco's (their coloring and detail) I think I might have finally managed it in this one.

I did use the canon ef 70-300 IS USM lens at a focal length of 300.
