This frog, had spotted me and the 40D, took a leap, and then just sat there, and checked out the brick wall in front him.
Today I was driving around a bit, looking for photo opts. and stopped at the river where the swans hang out.
I noticed this motor home stopped in the shade, and this gentleman kept walking to the road, and back. So as I was pulling out of the the public landing parking area, I asked him if everything was okay.
He told me that they had pulled in there to check out the pretty roadside stop, and when they were ready to leave their motor home would not start, that happened yesterday, and since it was the 4th, they waited it out till today, and they had help coming, we are under drought conditions, and it was 102 yesterday, with the same today. I also found out they are from Christchurch, New Zealand, and had heard of the many lakes in this area, and were here for that reason. I mentioned the Tri-lakes wildlife refuge, and that was where they were headed next.
I just thought it was so neat to be able to talk to someone, from an area where I have some good online friends. It is too bad that we are having such hot, and humid weather, everything is drying up, and not too scenic.
