One of the young mute swans that I have been taking pictures of lately. I stopped by Grassy Creek today, and was thrilled to see them still there.

They are somewhat used to people, since this is a public boat launch. I know that a family across the river feeds them bread every evening, so as long as you don't show aggression, they don't seem to be bothered by people.

I was able to get up close, and used the 70-300mm IS USM with the canon 40D.

I will miss them when they have grown, and move on.
