This is what I believe is the female praying mantis. From what I have read they do devour their mates after breeding, but some males escape by jumping off quickly! (An old saying comes to my mind) Lol! But I won't say it here. She was in another area of the calendar gardens, from my other post of the mantis that was enjoying a meal of bee.

Tomorrow is my day away, so thought I would post this one early.
