My mom has joined dad once again. She passed away last night at 11:40pm after dealing with congestive heart failure a month ago, and then was in the nursing home for rehab.

She was in good care, but illness is rampant in a nursing home, and she ended up contacting pneumonia.

I'm just getting over that nasty flu (I had a flu shot) but this time it did not work for me.

So I had not been in to see her, but was in contact with the home daily, and would talk to mom as well.

I was able to talk to her Friday afternoon, and that night, the home called and said she was declining, and was admitted back to the hospital.

She is now with my dad, and Harry, may she rest in peace, she has had a rough past 3 years.

This was dad's second marriage, and he sure picked a wonderful lady, she was not my step mom, she was my mother.
