Yesterday I spent mid afternoon to late at a preserve my friend Brenda told me about. She is the one that raises monarchs. and lives only a few miles from this place, so I wonder if this could have been one that she released earlier?

She is trying to keep count of how many she has (70) and how many are males / females, but she is having a hard time keeping up. I believe from what she told me that this one would be a female.

Took this one with my trusty 40D, and 70-300 IS USM lens combo. I now know why I semi retired the t3i, I just can't depend on it, so now it is retired.I tried it again yesterday, and I just prefer the results the 40D gives me.
