I had the pleasure of seeing this little family every day while I was staying in Brooklyn, Mi. they would swim up the channel, once or twice a day.

The male swan is called a cob, the female-pen, and the babies are cygnets. The parents watch over them till they are a year old. When born the cygnets don't spend more than one day in the nest.
