Most of my friends here on Caedes don't know but my husband and I are antique dealers. We've had our little business since 1996 after being only collectors for many years. I'll be posting the occasional image of pieces we own or have owned - many have already been sold. This is a cider pitcher dating to aproximately 1885-1892 made in Limoges France by the J.Pouyat company. The material is porcelain not pottery and it was all handpainted by a factory artist. These pieces are so unique and will never be seen again as the modern world has changed and handwork of this type is a dying art. I hope to share this beauty with others who may enjoy it.
