This church sits in the center of downtown in the village of Northbrook, a northern suburb of Chicago. It began in 1892 when the village was called Shermerville and was a community of mostly emigrant German farmers. It became Northbrook in 1922 the same year this church became Presbyterian. This building was completed in 1949. The bell tower contains a carillon which plays at noon and 6:00pm daily.
