This is new variety of geranium specifically a "Martha Washington Geranium" – botanically Pelargonium Domesticum and also known as a “Regal Geranium.” They have large azalea-like flowers with dramatic colors and patterns - some are so dark as to appear black. I spotted it last week at the garden center. I've had no luck growing this type of geranium as I believe our Midwest summers are too hot for it. This one was so beautiful and unlike any other I've seen - my F2 post for this week.
