I'm dedicating this picture to my husband - we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary tomorrow June 30th. My husband is so willing to go on my photographic expeditions lugging my camera bags, carrying the tripod etc. Never complaining, he'll sometimes forge ahead and find wonderful shots for me such as this one. I believe it to be a David Austin rose called "Molyneux". In Victorian flower language, a yellow rose meant jealousy. However, in the U.S., the yellow rose came to symbolize a familiar, native and humble love, encompassing feelings of home and domestic happiness. He battled cancer last year and is doing better than ever right now, so this is for Dave and our 35 years together.
