It's not been a good year for butterflies around here I've hardly seen any. But yesterday came across this Small White or Cabbage White butterfly visiting a butterfly bush. Could tell by her markings it was female and she readily agreed to pose. (just back from a grocery shopping trip to Wisconsin - will be back to comment.
