Another shrub not particularly well known but a great one to add color in the fall. Lespedeza is a genus of some 40 species of flowering plants in the pea family, commonly known as bush clovers or Japanese clovers. It is native to warm temperate to subtropical regions of eastern North America, eastern and southern Asia and Australia. The flowers did slightly resemble their distant relative, sweet peas, which have become rather uncommon these days.
