This is my favorite lilac with a name of Sensation - so apropos. We still have lilacs blooming due to a prolonged cool spell especially where I live which is only a few miles from Lake Michigan with winds off the lake. It's frequently 10 degrees cooler in spring here than where my mother lives which is about 10 miles away.
