That's what I'm calling it. It's a cicada who has taken up residence on my balcony and not the first one either! I am not a bug person but I decided to photograph it because it creeps me out totally - one flew onto my leg during the 17 year cycle and I was no good the rest of the day and it left a mark. This is not a 17 year cicada just a regular annual one.
