The botanical name is Spathiphyllum but commonly called peace lily. I took this shot this morning about 7:00am. This lovely plant was given to me by some of my wonderful neighbors on the floor where I live after my husbands death. It is a beautiful large plant and I have managed to coax it into full bloom so there are about 8 flowers and more buds on it now. Peace lily is the plant for October birthdays - my neighbors did not know this but that is the month my husband was born so this plant is very special to me.
