This shot was taken at the Chicago Botanic Garden. We had a terrible windstorm the prior day and the next day dawned cold but crystal clear deep blue skies were abundant. As I walked through the garden I came across a broken and dangling maple tree branch across my path at eye level. The color was gorgeous so I decided to preserve those maple leaves beauty. As you can see in the background there were other smaller branches down and the white birch which lined this path had lost many of their golden leaves. This may be my entry for the contest.
