I will have a bunch of photos from the summit of Mauna Kea, one of the most amazing and spectacular summits in the world. You can drive very close to the top which is about 13,796 feet above the ocean below. On the left here, looking Southwest, is Hualalai at 8,271 feet, one of the volcanos on the big island. Right of center, looking West-Northwest is Haleakala on Maui, 79 miles away and 10,023 feet in elevation. To the left of Haleakala you can make out traces of Kaho'olawe, Lana'i, and Moloka'i, although it is tough to see the details. O'ahu is somewhere back there a little more to the left. I tried to pick it out with no luck.
