I'm standing at our 2nd to last campsite, about 60 miles at the end of day 5 into our trip. This is looking south and the sun is setting to the right. Upper basin is incredible, and it was by far my favorite campsite of the trip. After the sun went down we were treated to 2 hours before the moon came up of a nearly completely full sky of stars. Not a tree in sight. Then the moon came up and illuminated the mountains surrounding us 360 degrees. Google Maps
